Map of where I went:

Today I woke up to go on my first ever trip to Carmarthen.
I woke up at 08:00am to catch the 09:44 service from Cam & Dursley to Bristol Parkway. Our train was formed of two three car class 166’s 166208 & 166xxx
We arrived at Bristol Parkway to find an almost empty, cold and wet station. This forced us to stay inside, so we sat in the cafe at the top of Bristol Parkway. We watched all the train movements from there, then we went and sat in the on platform waiting room. We sat there and watched multiple voyagers arrive and depart and then our train. This train was a Class 800 formed of two 5 car sets. The rear set was for Carmarthen and the front for Swansea. We had booked first class tickets so went and sat down in our seat. We then passed Stoke Gifford IET Depot and then passed though Severn Tunnel Junction and then our next stop will be Newport
We arrived into Newport to find a top ‘n tail of two Class 66’s then we continued onto Cardiff Central and then went past Cardiff Canton where I saw Colas Rail Coaches, Class 150’s, 769’s, 82’s MK2/3 coaches and Class 37’s. Next where all the stops to Swansea and then Swansea we uncoupled and then continued as a five car set to Carmarthen.
We then walked around Carmarthen and then went back to the same train we started on and then went back to Swansea where we would couple up to some new coaches. We were then at Swansea coupling up to another 5 car set to continue on to eventually London Paddington. This then makes our train a 10 car set. We then ready to depart 1517. Then would continue to all stations to Cardiff.
Next we continued onto Bristol Parkway watched a few trains arrive and depart and then we left and headed back to Cam & Dursley on a class 158
Thank you GWR for making my first class experience special. 😀
